Here is the scene I talked about in my previous post. This is from the 1959 movie Pickpocket, by Robert Bresson. We can see the pickpocket practice his trick with the newspaper on a dummy (in the two first seconds of the scene), and then he tries it in the subway. Notice that after the theft, he simply takes the money out of the wallet and throws the wallet under the bench. Pickpockets will do this so that if they get caught, there is no evidence of their guilt. If you ever get pickpocketed, try looking around, in wastebaskets, under cars... you may find your wallet.

And just for fun, here is another scene, where he works with his fellow pickpockets. It is just so amusing to watch, and yet so realistic. Enjoy!
